Yaoundé, capital of Cameroon. René Ngassam is a taxi driver native of the Bamiléké country and lives in a house in the suburbs of the city. But his mother, deaf and dumb after having been previously able to hear and speak, has remained in the village. Has a spell been cast upon her or is it a question of illness ? A Psychiatrist, Dr Makang Mba Mbog, evokes this case and reflects upon his practice. Yol Yol, his friend, a traditional medecine man, talks about his profession.
