La Mort du boulanger

On Christmas Day 1987, the baker of the Ile aux Moines – a small island in Brittany -committed suicide at the age of 25. Eight months later, words had become rare, life “continued”. In an attempt to understand the impossible whys and wherefores, inarticulable words confront each other, and sometimes extend moments of life, of work and joy. From this blending of images and words, the unsaid, the silence surges forth as the only possible answer to this mysterious absence.
