Lied der Hamar-Hirten – Tanz in der Savanne

Jean Lydall
1986 Germany 43 minutes Hamar

Since time immemorial, African shepherds have celebrated the beauty of their flocks. Among the Hamar, songs and dances are dedicated to them. These feasts are the occasion for young men and young girls to adorn and decorate their body. A young shepherd, Choke, and a young woman, Gardu, respectively explain the meaning of the songs and of the choregraphy.
