Mother lode

Jorge, a young mototaxi driver from Lima, travels through Peru to take a chance in a mining town, La Rinconada, settled in the Andean Cordillera, 5.300 meters above sea level.

Through his voice over narration, Jorge guides us into this mining world, a world he met when he was 13 years old, when he tried to work in the Secocha mines for the first time. Eight years later, he decides to face again this dark world but quickly innocence and hopes fade away and leave room for the dark side of this terrifyng Eldorado.
