Riddled with narrow streets, Nishijin is one of the old districts of Kyoto. Here live craftsmen who are skilled in weaving silk cloth for kimonos. Toshio Matsumoto builds up an aesthetic vision of the district’s life and, through his cine-poem, invites us to share it.
