So Many Miracles

Vic Sarin
1986 Canada 16 minutes English; Polish

“My parents are Polish Jews. I grew up with their nightmares of the Holocaust. During the war, they were hidden by Polish farmers. Over the last 40 years, my parents regularly exchanged letters with them but they hadn’t seen them. In 1986 Sofia wrote that she wanted to see them again before she dies. Although my parents were afraid of reliving the memories, their desire to have a reunion with the people who saved their lives brought them back to Poland. I went with them. This film is about our journey
