A young 30-year old mother of two small daughters, Sylvie falls ill with AIDS after ten years of being HIV positive. Having lost all hope of recovery, she nonetheless struggles to live out her time as best as she can. She fights against indifference and injustice, for the sake of others, by telling her story to youngsters or by organising demonstrations. The film follows Sylvie as her illness gains ground, together with those who care for her. And it respects her discretion for, as death approaches, Sylvie claims the right to intimacy as if withdrawing from the world deliberately.
