Hunting for locations for the film Nostalghia, the screenwriter Tonino Guerra drives Andrei Tarkovski around the traditional beauty spots in Italy. The Russian filmmaker struggles to recognise the country that he imagined when reading Guerra’s scenario. This journey gives the two men a chance to reflect on the role of the artist.
