On the Shimokita peninsula in northern Japan, the development of industries, and especially of nuclear power, has transformed the area into a “japanese colony”. The sea has been stolen from the fishermen who lived off it and loved it. They continue their struggle, and have not abandoned hope of getting back the sea.
