1988 India 40 minutes undetermined

Baliapal, a small coastal village in Orissa, eastern India. With its fertile land and its fish-abundant waters, it is a land of gold for the population. But in August 1984, the Indian government arrowed its decision to construct a missile testing range in Baliapal. The people mobilise and cut off all access to their village. The film describes the struggle of the people who are ready to die to defend their ancestral land. It is also an anti-war film, contrasting official Indian adherence to peace, its opposition to nuclear proliferation with its policy of expelling thousand of people to construct a missile testing range.
