Rithy Panh was fifteen when he lived in Cambodian refugee camp in Thailand. Ten years later he is a filmmaker and returns to the border region. His attention focuses on the long wait and nostalgia of Yim Om, who after wandering from camp to camp with her husband and four children, settled down in Site 2. Like other exiles, she also is subject to precarious conditions of life despite international aid, which remains powerless. The suffering of a people shattered by inactivity, insecurity and the fear of being forgotten.
