Guatemalan actress Carmen Samayoa tours Europe with her partner Edgar Flores. In her show Ixok (meaning woman in the Maya-language) she incarnates the courage and vitality of the Guatemalan woman in spite of misery and oppression. The film’s account of Carmen’s experiences and images of everyday life highlight the hard reality in Guatemala.
