“It was never just a job-it was always much more than that. Being a docker was a way of life. It was the greatest game in the world” (ex-registered docker). On 28th September, 1995, Mersey Docks and Harbour Company sacked 329 dock workers, and more than a hundred others for observing the most basic principle of solidarity. One year later, the battle is still going on.
