“A young woman photographer embarks on a reportage in an Art college. The subject of the film is a character that everyone frequently meets, but that no-one really knows: Ali the college cleaner. Very soon, however, she feels the limits to her approach. (…) With each new photo taken, we discover the man who arrived in France in the early 1970s, and the hardships he has overcome to get where he is today. (…) To further explore the theme, the film takes us to Morocco and into the twists and turns of a past Ali might have lived…” (Brahim Fritah)
