A train leaves the station of a small village in the Kazak steppe. Kayrat, a youth in his twenties, sets off to study in Alma-Ata. Dismissed from the university for lack of discipline, he trains to be a bus driver. One day, Kayrat notices an attractive young girl and bumps into her again in a cinema showing Werner Herzog’s Woyzeck. They introduce themselves. Her name is Indira and she is at the university…
