In the late eighties, a huge wave of Jewish immigrants from Central Asia left the USSR for Israel and the United States. The inhabitants of Bukhara’s Jewish districts (Uzbekistan) live through some intense moments, as entire families leave their native land in tears. Those who remain worriedly prepare themselves to follow the destiny of a people condemned to seek the Promised Land.
