Světlo proniká tmou

Frantisek Pilát
1930 Czechoslovakia 4 minutes no words

The contrast of light and dark on the kinetic sculpture of Zdeněk Pešánek, which stood in the Centre of Prague. Made before the Nazi occupation set about destroying the sculpture in 1938, this short abstract film, along with a few remaining photos, is the only surviving testimony of this work that epitomises the spirit of Modern Art.
