A grieving population leaves a city in tears. The only one to stay is a young woman who wanders among the ruins, up the empty avenues and into gutted houses. The rare people she meets do not reply to the questions she seems to be asking herself: what is happening? The woman appears to have found “her” house: she cleans the floor of a gutted room, lies down and falls asleep. She dreams. The town of Quneitra was destroyed when the Israeli army withdrew from the Golan Heights. The metaphor of a nightmare experienced by a country and a filmmaker born in the town; a nightmare that, three years on, gave birth to a documentary.
