Marie Losier is a director who has worked in New York for 23 years. She began by directing numerous avant-garde portraits of filmmakers and musicians such as Guy Maddin, Richard Foreman, Tony Conrad… Her first feature film The Ballad of Genesis and Lady Jaye is a portrait of Genesis Breyer P-Orridge and his partner Lady Jaye. Then she directed her second feature; Cassandro the exotico! a portrait of a Mexican wrestler in 2018 (Cannes ACID). In 2020 se directed a multi-faceted medium-length film about German composer and musician Felix Kubin (Felix in Wonderland, Locarno Film Festival).
