Noirs en prison
1971

20 minutes

Why do Blacks sit in jail? Very often for futile reasons. As one of the inmates puts it: “Every black man is a potential political prisoner.” Prison in fact turns ordinary thieves into political activists. The film shows walls, cells, corridors, a workshop, a gym. A voice off reads letters sent to his mother by J. Jackson, who was shot by one of his prison’s guards.
