Manolis Drossos

Rainer Winter
1983 Germany 87 minutes Greek

The portrayal of an old fisherman in Northern Greece and at the same time a poem about the sea, the film, whilst depicting tough and often thankless daily tasks, shows the slow rythm of life so close to nature and evokes, by means of fishing stories told by Manolis, an oral folklore full of mythical traditions.
