Death of Harun Farocki

We learn with immense sadness the sudden death of German filmmaker Harun Farocki. Cinéma du réel had been following his work with passion since 1987 and “Wie man sieht” up until his last two films “Ein neues Produkt” in 2013 and “Sauerbruch Hutton Architekten” in 2014. Harun Farocki had been in particular present at the festival in 2007 for the German Stories retrospective when seven of his films were programmed. We share the pain of his family and friends in these difficult moments.
