“The Stone River” – International Festivals and Awards

Giovanni Donfrancesco’s film The Stone River, International Competition and Youth Award, Cinéma du réel 2014, was programmed at the following festivals: Festival des Étoiles de la Scam, Forum des Images, Paris (France, November 2015), DokLeipzig Festival (Germany, October – Novembrer 2014), Ânûû-rû âboro, Festival international du cinéma des peuples, New Caledonia (France, October 2014), RIDM, Rencontres Internationales du Documentaire de Montréal (Quebec – Canada, November 2014), It’s All True Festival, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Campinas, Brasília and Belo Horizonte (Brazil, April – July 2014), Cinemambiente Festival, Torino (Italy, May – June 2014) where it received a Special Mention and at the festival du film de Lasalle (France, May 2014).

It was awarded the Grand Prix for Best Documentary Film at Yerevan International Film Festival (Armenia, 12-19 july 2014).

It received the Gold Globe 2014 for best documentary film, awarded by the foreign press correspondents in Italy.
