RIDM and the films from the 40th edition of Cinéma du réel

Quite a few films programmed during the 40th edition of Cinéma du réel were shown at RIDM, Montreal’s documentary film festival (Nov 8 – 18, 2018):

Seven films from the International Competition:
– Antigona, Pedro González Rubio
– Zentralflughafen – THF, Karim Aïnouz
– Fotbal Infinit, Corneliu Porumboiu
– Kinshasa Makambo, Dieudo Hamadi
– Unas preguntas, Kristina Konrad
– Waldheims Walzer, Ruth Beckermann
– Minatomachi, Kazuhiro Soda. A complete retrospective of Kazuhiro Soda’s film are also being programmed by the festival.

Four films from the International competition for First films:
– Fail to Appear, Antoine Bourges,
– Harvest Moon, Zaheed Mawani
– Salarium, Sasha Litvintseva and Daniel Mann
– Wild Relatives, Jumana Mana

Four films from the French Competition:
– Syn (The Son), Alexander Abaturov
– Les Flâneries du voyant, Aïda Maigre-Touchet
– The Image You Missed, Donal Foreman
– L’Empire de la perfection, Julien Faraut

Two films from the Ir/réel section:
– Extinção, Salomé Lamas
– Den Pobedy, Sergei Loznitsa
