Thibault Férié
During his studies in philosophy, Thibault Férié discovered and learned documentary film from Jean Rouch between France and Niger, then from Thierry Garrel at the documentary unit of Arte. After working for the Franco-German channel, he made his first films for UNESCO on the “endangered peoples” of southern Africa while working at the French Embassy in Namibia. Back in France in 2007, he has since directed some forty long documentaries for television, ranging from films of discovery around the world to scientific documentaries on the environment, climate, health, and social issues that have been forgotten in the news. His films are regularly selected in French and international festivals.
