They are brothers, the 17-year-old Faruh and 7-year-old Little Fatty. They have been brought up by their grandmother in a small Tajik town. Faruh finds the situation somewhat heavy and decides to entrust his young brother’s education to their father, who is a sanatorium doctor in a far-away town. To get him, the two boys take a curious small train that crosses Tajikistan up to the Afghan border. Once settled in the train, they experience some small adventures and observe the traditions of their country and its people.
