The works and daily life at Bosa, a small town of nearly ten thousand inhabitants on the west coast of Sardinia, which is a region that has remained somewhat out of touch with the island’s tourist boom. Rather like the Sardinian polyphonic songs, the film mingles the stories, expectations and voices of different people: the four men from the choir who, together since 1950, are keeping alive and handing down Bosa’s musical tradition; Angelo, who hosts the radio station and is president of the football club; Battista Columbu, the large landowner and local man of learning, whose right-hand man, Pagliani, can talk for hours on end about the joys and tribulations of wine-growing, without forgetting the sisters from the convent, who run a printing and stationary business, a mine of information, be it announcements of death or advertising leaflets.
