Families originating from Bangladesh are one of the most recent immigrant groups in East London, particularly in Spitalfields, a district that specializes in the textile industry. With little or no English, and most of the time no qualification, these men and women depend upon their relatives or friends already settled in England to find a job. Though officially British citizens, they are poor, vulnerable, exploited people.
