Looking for Robert

I recount my 20 years of work with the filmmaker Robert Kramer, who died in 1999. It is an account of the filmmaker’s gestures and practices. It’s a way of recalling the central place he gave to experience as a way of getting round the traps of the script. It’s also the story of a friendship that transformed me.
