Wenn aus dem Himmel

In an empty auditorium, a place suspended in time and space, jazz musicians Paolo Fresu and Daniele Di Bonaventura meet to record a CD, produced by Manfred Eicher of ECM. Fabrizio Ferraro follows the entire creative and production process: the search for sounds in space, the producer’s “direction”, the editing and mixing of the tracks and the sequences. And together with this, the human aspects, which magically and mysteriously enter and form the quality of the recorded music: the discussions, the waiting, the interruptions, the suffering and unexpected moments of happiness. And finally the grace that is expressed when something happens, when all of the elements manage to form the perfect combination, which is perceivable to everybody
