This documentary spans a period of ten years. It is not only the diary of a politician keeping track of his personal life, but also a testimony on the eventful history of a country torn apart by war. The diary consists in six chapters describing David Perlov’s travels to Paris, London and Brazil, the country where he was born and which he visits after twenty years. His daughters Yael and Naomi are also portrayed at various stages of their lives. Perlov also kept records of his meetings with Joris Iven, Isaac Stern, Claude Lanzman, André Schwartz-Bart, Irving Howe and Klaus Kinski.
