A village in Tanzania. Children are playing in the sun under their mother’s watchful eye. ‘All my hope lies in this house, but now it’s collapsing,” says Georgina standing in front of her hut. Rain is long in coming and food is scarce. Above all, she worries about her children, whom she fends for alone. Like many other Shinyanga women, she is suffering from AIDS, the illness that killed her husband.
Née en 1976 au Danemark de parents finlandais et américain. Elle réalise, en 1997, son premier film expérimental. En 1999, elle commence des études de réalisation documentaire à l’Ecole Nationale du film du Danemark. Elle est aussi écrivain et participe à la revue de littérature “Trompet Poet”. En 2001, elle réalise son premier film After Silence.
