This film-essay, set amidst the ruins of the school Santa Maria de Iquique, recounts the 1907 miners’ strike in northern Chile, during which the owners’ response led to the massacre of over three thousand workers, women and children. Songs and testimonies alternate to recall a struggle that the film would have us keep in our memory. (Federico Rossin)
