In the old town of Vilnius, the Bernadines church has been reopened and is slowly recovering from its wounds. In much the same way, an entire people are coming back to life after a period of darkness. The priest, Julius Sasnaukas, talks about his childhood, his involvement with the resistance, his clandestine literary activities, then his arrest and deportation to Siberia. After these ordeals, he regained his freedom and now leads a serene life inspired by his religious vocation.
