GENTE DA PRAIA DA VIEIRA
The fishermen from the Vieira coast migrate inland to Ribatejo, where they settle and form what are known as the Avieiros communities. “The cinema of António Campos is a cinema of respect and fraternity, a cinema based on local tradition and legend, which has deliberately chosen to turn its back on folklore and bluff to better penetrate the vital skin of beings and things.” (Jean-Loup Passek)
Né en 1922 à Leiria. Mort à Figueira da Foz en 1999, il a réalisé de nombreux documentaires ethnographiques et des doumentaires-fictions dont :
