H.I.J.O.S., el alma en dos

Marcelo Céspedes
2001 Argentina 80 minutes Spanish

H.I.J.O.S. (Children for Identity and Justice against Forgetting and Silence) strives to keep collective memory alive. This association was set up by the children of victims who went missing under the last military dictatorship (1976-1983). A group of testimonies, in which youngsters talk about their childhood, their parent’s or sibling’s disappearance, their exile and return, and their fight against oblivion. They also denounce the corruption and impunity of a country trying to rebuild itself, yet in denial of a critical period in its history.
