Hakanion

The tightening of the controls around the Palestinian enclaves forces Palestinians to cross the checkpoints illegally. On the other side, they lead hidden lives, far from their family and friends, in fear and precarity, poverty and promiscuity. They live in the mud, under the crossovers of motorways, in the shadow of concrete… dark silhouettes crushed by the monumental infrastructures. All they can do is try to conceal the ignominy of this existence; they cannot name or share the shame that envelops them.
