Historias cotidianas
The children of those who went missing in Argentina are now young adults in their twenties and thirties. Some are now parents themselves. The testimonies of six sons and daughters of those who disappeared during the 1976-1982 dictatorship, combine to portray their search for an identity of their own and the reconstruction of their history. In this voyage through their most intimate memories, each of these young adults has a particular approach to their singular personal history. Some accept, others deny the possible destiny of their parents. Some are more open about sharing their loss with family and friends, others have chosen to keep it to themselves and rarely speak about it. Yet, each of their lives has been marked by loss. These encounters portray this generation’s social and cultural contributions to contemporary Argentinian society.
