The filmmaker, a cancer patient, leaves the Paris hospital where she is being treated to go and film on her own. The film is an encounter with special men and women in the snow-covered Auvergne landscape. “She advances through the magic world of a snow-filled sky, going out to meet the phantasmagoria of Auvergne – there, where the cruel beast still roams afield and people are afire with a life whose meaning they choose to ignore… yet whose savour they offer us as a token.”
