Il Pianto delle zitelle

One of the most interesting religious events in Central Italy, the pilgrimage to the sanctuary of Monte Autore (province of Rome). This film suffered in 1939 from fascist censorship which accused it of presenting a too anticonformist image of popular religious culture.
