Intimate Stranger – 20 ans de la Lucarne / Arte

Joseph Cassuto is Alan Berliner’s grandfather, a Palestinian Jew who was a cotton buyer for the Japanese in Egypt. During the World War II the family splits in half. They reunite in New York, but Cassuto is restless and moves to Japan. After his death, his grandson constructs a poetic and emotional puzzle out of the voluminous memorabilia of his life story, letting a curious legacy emerge. Sreening cancelled due to the strike having taken place at the Centre Pompidou during the festival.
