Isla

We’re on an island. An island that looks out endlessly onto the immense, surrounding sea. This is Havana in 1996. Cuba tells its story through the voice of the Chinese man (aged 81), of Andres (aged 48), of Leslie (aged 30) and Katiushka (aged 13). Generations of emotions intermingle through words and photographs. These portraits of freedom and their vision of happiness sing out a song that crosses the vast expanse of sea and questions us on how we see the world.
