L’ Acadie, l’Acadie

Pierre Perrault
1971 Canada 117 minutes French

This film is an eye-witness account, day by day, of the events which marked the Acadian revival at the University of Moncton in 1968-69. But it doesn’t limit itself to events, it gets behind the scenes of the action and delves into the tortured souls of the protagonists. It is the Acadian soul itself we see, whose very will to act is sapped.
