The story of an unconventional shepherd: Ludo Van Alphen, who wanders around with his flock of sheep-the largest in Begium-in the industrial badlands of the port of Antwerp. The arrangement is bizarre, but raising livestock has the same requirements all around the world’the animals need a place to gaze. Ludo was an educator at an institution for the mentally disabled before deciding to change his life. The film reflects on Ludo’s current life as a shepherd and the society in which he lives.
