Les Meilleures intentions

The Best Intentions
Jean-Marc La Rocca
2005 France 57 minutes French

At the opening of the parent-run nursery, the young father who makes the inaugural speech talks of generosity and tolerance and is applauded by all the young well-intentioned couples. But as meetings go by (as ‘group’ decisions are the rule), the founders of the nursery are more occupied by how they can assume their role as employers, dismiss a cook or even exclude some parents, than by working on their “educational project”.
