Lettre de Beyrouth

Jocelyne Saab
1978 Lebanon 48 minutes Arabic

Back in Lebanon, Jocelyn Saab, after three years of civil war, finds it difficult to adapt to her country. In Beirut, she listens to people on the street, and tries to convey the atmosphere of violence, aggressiveness and fear that soars over the city. In South Lebanon, she watches UNO soldiers settling in, while local people are not seen any more.
