Ivars Seleckis
1994 Latvia 90 minutes Latvian

After 50 years of collectve farming, the Latvian peasants found their land again. From Spring to Autumn, while the camera observes the work cycle in the Vidzeme region, personal stories that had long been kept secret come to light, as for example the story of the man who hid for 27 years in the cellar of his own house for fear of being deported. The film also focusses on what is at stake for the future in a time of change and uncertainty.
