Niagara

Henry Hathaway
1953 United States 92 minutes English

Ray and Polly come to the Niagara Falls for a belated honeymoon. The cabin they are to rent is still occupied by a couple, George and Rose. A seemingly banal story about a deceived husband who kills his wife before diving into death, the film sets its characters against a famous spot that determines them: the Falls, both magnificent and threatening, the ultimate “view” and a fatal place, spectacular and abyssal.
