PACÍFICO

The construction of a house on the beaches of Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca (Mexico), frames the story of three characters and their reflections about the world. Coral, a 7 year old girl, every day when she gets out of school, heads to the construction to meet his godfather Diego, a young cell phone addict, band leader and builder. She spends hours waiting for Diego to take her home; creating her own works of art and transforming her little universe. In the meantime, Coral meets Oriente, a carpenter who longs to reunite with his family in a remote village. Developing an endearing relationship with Oriente, Coral is stuck with the idea of making him, like Diego, her godfather. This is how the construction’s reality allows them to cultivate their own stories, always intertwined by their special bonds.
