In 1991-1992, Lisl Ponger did regular research on the foreign communities living in the Austrian capital. Colourful sequences with costumes, celebrations and music, filmed in super-8. She wrote her encounters down in a diary. Eleven years later, when she decides to sort and edit her material, she thinks back to the shoots, and mischievously talks about all the editing possibilities and the reality of a film as it is being made. The film then takes us on a journey through a “different” Vienna.
